THREE DAYS TRIP TO MURCHISON FALLS

Description

Karamoja is a pastoral community where the possession of cows and goats is considered a sign of wealth and status.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel to start the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will have a stop for lunch before we continue to the park. We shall also make another stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary if you want to see the Rhinos. You will go through the famous Luwero triangle, Budongo forest, on the western arm of the Great Rift Valley.
The journey offers great picturesque views, so be sure to keep your cameras out. You will drive to the top of the falls, where the Nile shows its perfection. You will witness the calm Nile forcing itself through a narrow gorge to fall at about 150 ft down, producing a thunderous roar of white water- magnificent scenery!  Later, you will be taken to your hotel for check-in.
PS: Another option is to go by boat and hike atop the falls, the hike takes 30 minutes. This can be done on the next day.

Accommodation: Bamboo Lodge
Meals: Full Board

After an early breakfast, we shall embark on our first game drive through the park. Witness a parade of Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, and other animal species. Enjoy the game by trying spot a Lion or Leopard or simply listing the different kinds of animals you will see. After the game drive, we shall go for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will take a calm boat cruise along the Nile to the bottom of the mighty Murchison Falls. Look out for some Hippos, a dazzling array of birdlife along the banks like kingfishers, cormorants, bee-eaters and the rare shoebill stork, and not forgetting the Nile Crocodiles! Sharpen your ears for the thunderous and electrifying sound of the famous waterfall as you get closer. We shall disembark from the boat and return to the Lodge for Dinner.

Accommodation as above

On the day of departure, we shall have a morning breakfast and leave for Kampala. If we did not see
rhinos on day one, we shall see them on this day.
